At Santa Margarita Library, the patrons related best when the central person had shared values and the story was cross-generational. They appreciated when the STEM in everyday life was explicit and they could see it happening. It was helpful when the story was kept short for discussion. So far the best response has been to the Potter/Connection and the Blacksmith/Transformation videos partly because they were relevant not only to the theme, but also to the books and science partners for those events.
