Our first session was held in February (Nature/Boyle) with 10 in attendance. The discussion was wide-ranging; from the local impact of invasive species to nature vs nurture. It was really fun to facilitate the conversation with our science partner, our County Conservation Specialist.
I posted protest signs i.e Save The Rats, We Love Rats, e-Rat-i-fication which drew some laughs. I also served Baked Rats (shaped mini-meatloaf with green pea eyes) and Ratatouille. Our drawing give-away was a DVD, Florence Foster Jenkins, who pushed the limits in her own special way! Everyone wants to return for our next session in March (Survival/Cussler). Our local TV station caught wind of the program and we will be live-interviewed about the series tomorrow; nice promotion opportunity, hmm?
